Our paved lane leads each and every visitor to Serenity Lodge in comfort.

Our front deck is built to code to guarantee accessibility for all.

The piazza as the residents have named our front covered deck has been utilized in all seasons by our residents. This has been a great space to join together and enjoy each others company!

Being outsdoors to enjoy the four seasons is possible at the lodge.

Made to code ramps provide tolat accessibility to the Lodge for all residents and visitors.

The lodge property has numerous sitting spaces for the residents enjoyment.

The lower level has a common living room area as well as the sunroom to join togehter for group interactions, or entertaining family and friends.

Each level has their own dining area to share their meals together.

Our lower level bathroom has the special feature of a side opening tub with whirlpool jets that will enhance skin stimulation. As many seniors age their circulation slow down and they often experience skin intrgretity issues. This massaging water system can be very helpful as well as pleasant to use.

We have added as many safety features as possible to be proactive to extending the health and safety of all our residents.

The lower level bath and washroom has lots of personal storage space for personal items in this area, of the Lodge.

All rooms have wide doorways to allow for walkers or wheelchairs if needed.

Residents have the choice to have cable television services in the bedrooms, at a minimal shared cost.

We love the feel of the warmth and atmosphere of the fireplace in the sunroom. We enjoy many cozy events in this area of the lodge.

All doors are wheelchair accessible.

NaturaL light is very important to our sense of well being. It cheers us and helps to have a positive attitude toward enjoying life. We use the sunroom on our ground level, year round to do many activities.

We love the space we have to invite guest to visit and share refreshments with our residents. Friends and family are very important to us.

We believe in the joy that music can offer to our residents. As a team we try to discover our own special talents and offer those gifts to our team approach to adding joy and enthusiasm to the lives of each of our residents.

Serenity Lodge has been built with the possibility of residents having special needs. Wide hiallways with handrails are safety features on both levels.
Both levels are wheelchair accessible for those wheelchair bound.

Each leve of Serenity Lodge has a common furnished for comfort, living room. This area is where all residents can join together for interacting as they wish. At times the two residents that live on the lower level are invited to join the four residents living on the upper level for recreational or music events that are organized. Nothing stops the residents from visiting as they wish with any residents living within the Lodge.

The large upper level bathroom provides an individual drawer for storage of personal items for each resident. Serenity Lodge provides through its color coded hand towel system the extra care for prevention of any germ transfer from resident to resident. We will endeavour to have impeccable intregrity in caring for all needs of our residents while living at Serenity Lodge.

On the upper level a large accessible shower provides for the ease for residents with mobility issues.

All over one hundred square feet, the bedroooms are bright, fresh and clean to welcome residents. The residents can use the furniture provided or bring their own personal items.

We offer individual switch controled ceiling fans for bedrooms, so the residents have the control over their privaste living area. Each bedroom has individual heat controls as well.

This lodge is commited to providing a safe, well protected enviromen t for all six residents in their new home. An annually inspected sprinkler system offers confidence that everything possible is being done to ensure safety for all residents.

Serenity Lodge offers a small homelike setting where residents share their nutritious, well balanced freshly prepared meals in a common kitchen area.

A leisurely stroll along our nature trail brings much peacefulness to those that enjoy the slower pace of the “country” style of life. The enhusium of the squirrels is hard to contain though as they are reguarly treated to their fair share of the bird feed.

Located in Enfield, Nova Scotia, the lodge has many large windows allowing the residents to enjoy views of the pines, birch, oaks and maples of Russell McKeen Drive.

Planted in 2004 in memory of Janie MacAskill, the first resident to live at Serenity Lodge. The MacAskill family is very grateful to the staff and employees of Basin Contracting for their thoughtfulness in this special rememberance of their Mum!
